The Jacks- Vacant World+Super Session['68/69 Japan Group Sounds]

CD collection of all the recordings by this legendary '60s Japanese psychedelic/garage band. The collection includes two albums plus rare singles. Unlike many Japanese bands The Jacks did not copy western pop music but developed their own brand of psychedelic weirdness and filled their recordings with distorted fuzz guitars, spacey flute, tortured vocals, jazzy brass and vibe laden instrumental excursions. The end result is equal to some of the best US '60s garage psych but with a distinctly Japanese flavour..

Excellent, I was waiting for this one! Does it include the whole 'Karappo No Sekai' EP though? I can't quite tell. 'Marianne' is a killer.
I noticed Kan Mikami on your folk anthology. Do you have his Bang! LP? That's the other big one for me that I've yet to hear. I remember Alan Cummings' writing and The Wire fussing over the Japanese psych scene back in something like 1998! Great stuff

The Hayakawa Yoshio album by himself when it's mostly piano and acoustic guitar makes is absolutely beautiful. Does he do anything or have any web presence of any kind?
