Dear Cyberfriends,
I am Dirk's mother, and Dirk asked me to keep you updated on how he is
doing. Well I have to tell you all some sad news, wednesday the 25th we went
to the hospital for his 7th chemo, but as Dirk told you he wasn't feeling
well. The doctors examined him and they found a huge tumor and fluid in his
left lung, there is nothing that they can do for him anymore, the prognosis
is that he only has a few weeks to live... At the moment it's going very
fast, day by day he is getting worse... Dirk asked me to tell you this, and
that when he passes away, he wants the comments to be used as a memorial
register, and then the blog will be closed. It will stay as a memorial in
loving memory of Dirk.. Greetings and love from Dirk and his mom Janny

Be strong Janny, i hope you can feel that you're not alone in these hardest of times, my and many others thoughts goes out to you right now in this moment, and the memory of Dirk will never fade away.
This is indeed very sad news. It's not often someone gets to affect the lives of so many other people. This blog and your spirit behind it will be missed. Be at peace.

Life on this rock floating in space is indeed short, so it must be lived to the full, hopefully Dirk will have done that, and having friends and family is a show of such thing. I believe that music-companion of the soul- can travel the dimensions, so he will continue to tune his "earing" to the best music there is. See you on the Mos Eisley cantina. Regards.

I came here today and this was definitely unexpected. Though, I didn't know Dirk personally, it's said to see someone that you feel like you know pass away. Reading his blog you wanted to hear him getting better. He had great taste, and has put me on to music that I've never even heard of before. I hope his parents understand how much his readers appreciated him while he was here.

I'm new to "blogging" and looking at BLOGS to find downloads etc.... I just came across Dirk's yesterday, from a link on another BLOG, to find his amazing BLOG with amazing stuff to be shared with the world. Pretty amazing guy. Pretty amazing taste in music. I feel that I've missed something by not knowing him before.
May you find solace in knowing he's resting in the arms of an Angel now.

My deepests condolences.Dirk has given us some splendid rare-cult music through this blog,quite unexpected for his age.he truly had the "rock n roll" in him.May the music endure wherever he is going now.
