Lovely blog!

For some reason, the 73 album seems to elude me... Unrar shows the files but they do not appear on my computer. Any help?

All my best

Has anyone else had problems with this file? I've downloaded it 3 times and each time the files have been currupt and unreadable. I haven't had problems with anything else from this blog, which, by the way, is incredible.

I was able to download it fine. I think some computers just don't like some files and vice versa. I've had trouble with some files in the past and had no idea why.

I was glad to finally hear the third album (which strangely didn't get reissued with the other two a few years ago). I love Hosono's songs (of course I am a biased Hosono fan), and "It's Summer" ranks with his best.

It's funny, because my girlfriend who's Japanese and grew up in the 70's, remembers all this music, but has no idea why I like it. She thinks it's "oyaji" (old fart) music. I guess since I'm approaching like new then it's fresh, because I don't have all that nostalgic baggage. That's what I find true about so much vintage music from around the world. A lot of people that grew up with it don't think much about it, or are sick of it. To me, this stuff is like discovering a new world.

Thanks Dirk. Keep up the great work!

i'm also having difficulty in uncompressing the files. i think the problem arises because of the japanese characters in the file names, which my OS doesn't seem to recognize. anybody have a workaround? the "rename" function in winrar doesn't seem to do the trick.
