Veel sterkte gewenst. Ik was geen vaste bezoeker van Dirk's blog, maar kwam er vorig jaar wel zo af en toe op terecht. Nu zag in een andere blog dat hij overleden was... Zo jong nog. Ik wens jullie alle kracht toe en mooie herinneringen.

i as well just found this blog. it's really great music. none of the downloads really work anymore but i know a lot these groups and it's an impressive taste for music he had. so sorry to see that he has passed.

I work in a small record store in Madison, Wisconsin. Recently we received a large collection of avant garde, experimental, and just generally weird music; included in the collection were tons of electronic, drone, power electronics, krautrock, prog, synth, and punk records. This actually does not even come close to describing the breath of the collection--there are boxes and boxes of other small, private press recordings that I'm still sorting through. Nevertheless, I really enjoy Mutant Sounds and a number of the other blogs you work on, and thought I might clue you in to our auctions. Please feel free to ask any question and forward this information to other interested individuals. I'm not sure what the e-mail addresses are for the other MS folks, but please give them the heads-up.

I am in the process of writing an article about Dirk and Cities on Flame With Rock and Roll. The recent Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan immediately brought Dirk to the forefront of my mind, and how he tirelessly worked to introduce thousands, if not millions of people, to the Japanese artists that he held so dear.
